Cracker Jack Cookies

1 c vegetable shortening
1 c brown sugar
1 c sugar
2 eggs
2 t vanilla extract
1 1/2 c flour
1 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
2 c rolled oats
1 c flaked coconut
2 c rice crispies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream shortening together with both sugars. Beat in eggs and add
vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder & baking soda & mix with
shortening & egg mixture. Stir in rolled oats and coconut, then fold
in rice Crispies. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto an
ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
